| Well, as of yesterday I finished watching every episode of Smallville that I had not yet seen. Meaning I have now seen every episode of that show. It's a really good show. Kind of weird, but awesome. I started thinking after that, my brother was asking me recently who my favorite superheroes were. So I decided to waste more of my time posting about it...
1. Superman. There is no question in my mind. Sure, I haven't seen the movies... but I loved Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman with Dean Cain and I absolutely love Smallville with Tom Welling. Superman is great. The Smallville Superman (who technically isn't Superman yet) is my favorite.
2. Batman. Number 2 probably used to be someone else but The Dark Knight sent Batman closer to the top. I've probably actually seen quite a few Batman movies, thanks to them showing them on TV so often. I know I saw the George Clooney Batman & Robin, and I've seen the Christian Bale Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. Christian Bale is definitely my favorite Batman so far, and thank you Hollywood for finally making superhero movies well.
3. Spiderman. He probably used to be number 2 before Batman knocked him down. My favorite by far is Tobey Maguire in the 3 recent movies, but I actually saw some episodes of the cartoon version of Spiderman when I was younger. Spiderman is awesome and I've liked him for a while. That is why he makes this list.
4. Wonder Woman. When I was younger, she was my favorite. It's awesome that there's a female superhero so great. Lynda Carter in the old TV show is what made me love Wonder Woman. She got knocked down the list by the awesome guys, but she's still in my top five.
5. The Incredible Hulk. Now, I have not seen very many of the old TV show episodes - maybe one or two... and the movie put out several years ago with Eric Bana was an epic failure... but Hollywood redeemed itself by bringing Edward Norton to the big screen as the Hulk and when I saw that movie, it was awesome. My brother would also get another reference to me liking the Hulk in high school... but that's a long, weird story, that involves a strange dream my brother had, so I'm not going to go there. Edward Norton in the recent movie is my favorite Hulk by far (well, technically he's not the Hulk - he's Bruce Banner... but you get it).
There you have it. My top 5 superheroes. Thanks to Smallville, I'm also on a bit of a Green Arrow/Oliver Queen kick... but he's not in my top 5... maybe top 10... but I'm not sure because I don't really want to think that hard.
Also, I recently saw the new Wolverine movie... it was awesome too. I enjoy Wolverine (and X-Men, for that matter)... but again, not in my top 5. Maybe top 10... I used to really like Iceman off the X-Men movies... but that was mostly because the actor is good looking... hahaha! And, just to mention... Cyclops, Storm, Rogue, and Phoenix are all pretty awesome too.

| YAY! My family finally got the internet hooked up in Washington... my mom's computer has broadband and I can use my laptop on wireless (we got a router)... WAY better than the dial-up we had in Loda. And now I can get online without waiting my turn.

| Lord, You know how much
I want to know so much
In the way of answers and explanations
I have cried and prayed
And still I seem to stay
In the middle of life’s complications
All this pursuing leaves me feeling like I’m chasing down the wind
But now it’s brought me back to You
And I can see again
This is everything I want
This is everything I need
I want this to be my one consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You, Jesus
Be my magnificent obsession
So capture my heart again
Take me to depths I’ve never been
Into the riches of Your grace and Your mercy
Return me to the cross
And let me be completely lost
In the wonder of the love
That You’ve shown me
Cut through these chains that tie me down to so many lesser things
Let all my dreams fall to the ground
Until this one remains
You are everything I want
And You are everything I need
Lord, You are all my heart desires
You are everything to me
You are everything I want
You are everything I need
I want You to be my one consuming passion
Everything my heart desires
Lord, I want it all to be for You
I want it all to be for You | | |
